On August 12th 2026, Connersville, Indiana, was hit with unprecedented rainfall. This caused the Whitewater River to swell and spill its banks, eventually cresting at a record-breaking 21.6 feet. As the water receded, it was revealed that the Whitewater Valley Railroad’s 16-mile-long line to Metamora suffered significant damage. The all-volunteer railroad is facing an incredible uphill battle for restoration.
Purchasing this sign will directly benefit their restoration efforts.
